Christmas do 2009

Posted in News with tags , , on December 5, 2009 by Blackwater Bikers

Saturday 28th November, saw our annual xmas do for club and friends take place at Three Rivers Golf and Country Club. A good time was had by all, and I’m pleased to report that the coach journey home was not a repeat of last years vomit fest!!!

As usual our crash award was presented, with a full 5 candidates this year, who were :

  1. Martin “I think I’ll straighten this bend, who put that Ducati there?” Sheen
  2. Gary “Why the hell is he straightening that bend?” Sharpe
  3. Archie “I think brake lights and indicators are a really good idea” Frost
  4. Charlie “That bend is sharper than I remember, do you mind if I take a closer look at your exhaust pipe Nobby?” Hobden
  5. Nobby “No Charlie, you can’t take a closer look at my exhaust pipe” Frost

We’re pleased to announce that for 2 spills in 2 weeks the award went to Charlie, making it a clean sweep for the Hobdens over the course of the years !!!

Shindig 2009 – An Overwhelming Success

Posted in 2009, News, Shindigs on September 13, 2009 by Blackwater Bikers

Well it came and went, and it has to be said that we consider this to be the most successful year ever, in terms of the standard of all the artists, the number of people that attended and most importantly the amount of money raised for the air ambulance.

Full details and photos will follow over the coming days and weeks, but a massive thank you must go out to Nick Scott for the use of the land; the bands; the sponsors; the PA and lighting crews; the stall holders; everyone who gave up time and lent us the use of their equipment and staff, however big or small and finally everyone who attended.
